Atlas of Bank Restoration Sites of the St. Lawrence - Funding of restoration projects
Restoration projects often call for substantial financial resources. However, there are government organizations and private foundations that offer financial support for restoration, conservation and development of wildlife habitats.
To find out how to finance a project go to Environment and Climate Change Canada’s Green Source Funding Database and consult the list below of selected organizations that provide assistance in the form of funding. Here you will learn how to define your objectives and reporting parameters and make an accurate assessment of the resources required and how to present a project to funding organizations.
The list of funding organizations is given for information only. However, these organizations are the ones most likely to finance projects appearing in the Restoration Atlas. Each organization targets fields and operational territories and establishes its own eligibility criteria and selection procedures. These do not necessarily apply to all projects in the Atlas. Each of these organizations has a Website, which you can visit to identify organizations most likely to give financial support to the project that you want to carry out.
